About Jane Wijeratna

Physiotherapist: Jane Wijeratna BSc (Hons) MCSP

HCPC registered: PH81614

I set up Physio Difference in 2019 to enable me to bring my expertise directly to my local community as well as providing myself with the work/life balance I needed for family life. My clients benefit from fast access to appointments and treatment for as long as they need. No long waiting lists, no limit on the number of sessions and certainly not just an exercise sheet. I provide ‘hands on’ therapy, focus on functional goals and make onward referrals to appropriate health professionals as needed.

I am a friendly & motivated physiotherapist with over 14 years of qualified experience in the UK and Australia. I’m not just your usual musculoskeletal injury physiotherapist. I have worked in many different settings with rehabilitation always being a passion of mine. I am also an ITEC qualified sports and remedial massage therapist as well as a certified Fit2Go practitioner.

I have experience of post surgery & critical illness physiotherapy, including intensive care & long stay wards. I’ve worked with clients with chronic illness as well as acute conditions. I have experience in healthcare of the older person, including dementia, orthopaedics and community rehabilitation.

I don’t just treat an injury or condition, I consider your whole story. A traumatic experience, anxiety or a change in ability can have far reaching effects on the body and mind. I hope to be able to work through this with you, treat you within my capabilities and get you in touch with others to support you on your journey.

Physiotherapy is a vital element in a person’s recovery & future. Providing ongoing appropriate, personalised physiotherapy treatment can make a huge difference to quality of life.
